Life, Friendships and Shoes..

 One week into my 20th year and I have realised a few things over the past twenty years - 



related to friendships, life and shoes

1. Trying to please everyone will end in disaster - don't do it, make sure you are happy and the ones you love are happy, 

2. You can not be friends with everyone - it really is as simple as that, you will find that there are some people in your life that are never going to be your friend

As a follow on from 2, 

3. Some people are just mean - 
you can try and try and try and they will still 
stab you in the back

4. Hold on to those people who shine bright - even if they are moving to another country for a year.. 

5. Life is difficult - and it doesn't get easier, but we do get better paid jobs

6. So it's okay if you are 20 and you are yet to pass your driving test - Eventually it will happen... I think

7. 'Live as a rich person for a week, survive as a poor person for 3' - will forever be my motto

8. If you do not want to do something, don't do it. 

9. New shoes will murder your feet. 

10. Talk straight, don't beat around the bush, and go to the source - You might get yourself into trouble but eventually you will gain respect from those who thought they could get the better of you

11. It's okay to be too busy to even breath sometimes and to take naps during the day - we all secretly do it

12. And finally - Be yourself - And I'll be mine

Summer Casuals...

 After the longest week working none stop I have finally had chance to take some pictures for another blog post! 
When fivepoundtee.com approached me with an opportunity to put a blog post together I couldn't wait!


As soon as I saw this tee I needed it in my life and my wardrobe - it instantly made me smile and I had visions of the outfits I could build with it and after all we all need to 
pray for our haters at times, so why not pray for yours?
At £5 it would be rather rude not too!




I don't know about you but I sometimes find dressing for summer the most difficult thing ever - you never know if it's going to rain half way through the day in England or if you're going to be freezing as soon as you step foot out of the front door - today was an exception, the weather was beautiful, hence why my dreadfully pale legs made an appearance 
(we'll discuss my paleness in another post very shortly)


The shoes; 
I bought these whilst in Greece, they really are the most perfect summer sandals, the lace up detail is bang on trend for Summer and not only can you tie them like I have but you can also lace them all the way up towards your knee, this gives another meaning to the 'best of both worlds' statement

So I did a little bit of research and found these ones from Public Desire so you didn't have too -

Lets discuss the necklace - I stumbled across an adorable stall whilst at Humber Street Sesh last weekend and I am some what appealed at myself for not knowing about
before then, but I am so happy that I have found them now! 
I literally spent about 20 minutes picking out which necklace I wanted - I seriously could have left with everything because it was all so beautiful! 
 But I decided to go for this purple stone which was the first one I laid eyes on and the one I instantly fell in love with - 
I may have to purchase the matching ring... 


(Note to self, this skirt is really unflattering..)

August Wish List..

Back again with another wish list, it's just been pay day and I am eager to spend my money...
My philosophy; live as a rich person for a week, survive for 3 
Not the most logical way of looking at the month but I have this unhealthy addiction to shopping that I haven't been able to shake yet! 

The perfect coat for A/W - that is all I have to say


If you haven't already realised I am really excited about A/W and some of the high street brands are bringing there A game! Dorothy Perkins especially, this skirt might be above and beyond my price range but I still had to feature it - its called a 'wish list' for a reason I guess! 
Paired with a white slouch tee and heels this really would make the best day/night outfit - it's just unfortunate suede is so expensive... sigh 


    

I have no other words for these bags other then LOVE
And I couldn't decide which l loved more so I had to show them both - simple 


So if you thought UGG only made those fur filled boots then you are terribly mistaken, these are called Camellia and they come in 5 colours and I really really really really really really like them all, but I picked the black ones because of how practical they would be in the coming cold months - Can it just be Autumn already? 


I didn't realised how many shoes I had put into this wish list! But they all have very deserving places - These Topshop boots are going to be a wardrobe staple come September 'Second Skin Boots' made a huge impact on the runways this year from Dior to Celine walking them and I am eager to get my hands on this pair 
Blue skinny jeans - Check
White turtle neck jumper - Check 
Ralph Lauren Fringed Leather Jacket - I think I have one of those laying around somewhere 
= Perfect casual A/W outfit  


And finally the most 70's styled boots that I have laid my eyes on, suede upper and wooden block heels? 
Yes please 

This was probably the most boring wish list I have every put together but I had these items stuck in my head all week and I just had to share them with you! 

Autumn is coming and I'm going to be ready!

Garden Paradise...

Back with another Holiday post and this one is probably one of my favourite looks from our week away! 




I put this outfit together a few days before we left for Greece, I was desperately trying to find a top to go with these gorgeous H&M shorts and I ended up relying on my trusty bardot top from Topshop - and it did not disappoint 



I obviously have to comment on my headband 
I have never been sure about wearing head pieces like this, simply because I never thought they would look that great - but how I was mistaken, I love the style of this one, especially the fact that it is an actual headband and not a chain which undoubtedly messes up your hair 
- one bad point, the mental band bruised the back of my ears... not nice
But no pain no gain right...


I found these shorts back in June when I was out shopping during my 'I love yellow' phase, I paid £14.99 full price but they have now dropped to £9 in the sale - both dressed up or dressed down they look great so I will definitely be wearing them again and again

I still wish I was in Greece the current English weather is preventing me from taking any blog shoots which is a nightmare! But I am trying my best and I have a few more holiday posts up my sleeve! 

I have also taken a sneak peak at some new at some new A/W collections and I can not tell you how excited I actually am - Autumn is my favourite season by far and the high street is bringing their A game this year - keep your eyes peeled because it will be filtering through into the shops in no time and I will be picking some pieces 
- student loan where are you???
