I'm Ready
14/07/2017
So this strange thing just happened were I had to edit the bio on this blog to address the fact I am no longer a student, and in all honesty, I'm not sure how I feel about that, its almost as though a huge weight has been lifted, but in the same sense I'm also struggling with the adult lifestyle that is swiftly approaching.. However, lets not worry about that now - I have plenty of time to worry about the future when it arrives.
(Bonus, my student discount doesn't run out for some time yet so all is well: kinda).
I have to start by saying a huge Hello to you beautiful bunch of people and welcome back after what has felt like an eternity away from the blog! I have finally finished my three year long degree and my six month placement which saw me having to take a firm step back from the world of blogging, something that I found really difficult. Throughout the last six months I can honestly say that I think I lost sight of myself for a while and I lost sight of the ambitions and goals that I had set aside for myself. I felt somewhat lost and without purpose for quite a while and the constant work load of; placement, assignments and employment made it hard for me to keep my head above water. Working in an environment that was so far away from the blogging/fashion industry is something that I really struggled with, however, I made it to the finish line a month ago, and I think over the past few weeks, I have finally started to feel myself again and that is a feeling I have truly missed.
It's an odd feeling when you are so conflicted with yourself; my brain is convinced I should settle in a job that would easily pay the bills and put the three year degree I have just studied to good use, but the other side is resisting that and instead insisting that I would be sad, unmotivated and depressed.. I've decided to vote with my heart in this battle and simple be 21 for a little bit, because it wont last long and I have a whole life time of been an adult ahead of me.
The serious bits now out of the way, lets discuss the outfit, Im assuming thats the only real reason you're here..
Thought I'd kick my first official return post off with the talked about top of the season; the wrap top. In traditional Paris style I had to buy one in my signature colour paired with Stella. I've said it numerous times but I struggle with what to wear in Summer, despite been a summer born baby I am a true Autumn dresser and I think that definitely reflects within what items I pick when building my Summer wardrobe! With that in mind, for this outfit I allowed the red to be the focal point playing it down with black kick flared jeans and these mega mules (that may or may not be knackered now because I wore them out for drinks with the girls and ended up with more drink on them then in my glass: standard).
it almost feels odd been back writing about clothes and fashion again, I have been so swamped with work that has drained all of my creative energy that actually shooting and writing about fashion seems new to me again - which means I can take risks and make some changes to YouCanCallMeP which is definitely exciting for me. I'm now taking the blog into a new chapter of my life, which is both scary and amazing all at the same time. I have plans to succeed in and more memories to make so I hope you stick around to see how far we go!
So if you hadn't already guessed, I'm back, planning, shooting and working on some much needed new content - its been a long time coming and I'm so glad you've stuck around, it means a lot; heres to the second half of 2017, I'm ready.
