How Sports Wear became Day Wear..
18/04/2016
Say hello to a whole new way of wearing sports wear!
It's no surprise that sports wear has made a huge impact on high street stores with everyone from; New Look to Zara now stocking their own 'active wear' range!
One of Topshop's recent trends was all about ways to wear the infamous 90's tracksuit for both play time and work time and surely we all caught Chloe's SS16 collection? Could that have been any further up Kate Moss' street?
But the true inspirational game changer for me has to be the launch of
Queen B's - IVY PARK
The internet went crazy when Beyonce announced that she had paired up with Sir Philip Green on a whole new sports range and I must say I was somewhat excited myself!
Launching in Topshop as an additional brand the range has also been launched in other high-steet stores such as JD and even Selfridges
Rushing to Topshop St Stephens at 9am on Thursday morning was not one of my proudest moments (especially because I was in my head to toe adidas gym kit sporting a cap - quite frankly looking like I was about to rob the place) however the anticipation to see the range was just too much to handle!
And it did not disappoint!
I ended up buying a 'few' bits from the range and here I am wearing the
Sheer Mesh Hoodie and the V-Back Mesh Insert Bra

Hoodie - £42
Bra - £22
The range varies in price with some of the items coming in at £100+ or the more reasonable priced items ranging between £15-£40!
If I was to find anything negative about this brand I would have to say the sizes are somewhat all over the place; for example the sports bra I am wearing in this shoot is a L (I'm blaming my huge shoulder/back), but the hoodie is a XS - I would suggest doing some research and reading some reviews before you purchase online just to ensure you don't need to return any items!
This post also features three of my absolute favourite recent buys and I'm still super excited that I even have them! Lets start with the jacket; I first laid eyes on this bomber last year and despite my best efforts I could not find it anywhere; until I wandered into Topshop over the weekend and saw it staring at me, I was a bit scared that it would resembled my hair colour too much but considering how long I have wanted it I really didn't care and now looking at it I think it complements my ginger locks quite well so no harm done!
The trainers. Never ever have a pair of trainers spoke to me on the level that these Adidas Superstars did; I saw rose gold and I was sold! It really is as simple as that!
And finally there's nothing like mixing metals to keep an outfit up to date, I have finally got my hands on that
"Zara City Bag" and I couldn't be happier!
I have wanted a bag like this for week's and despite shopping around I just couldn't find an alternative that matched this one so when I saw it on the shelve looking all beautiful whilst out shopping in Leeds I just couldn't say no and I have to thank Emily for being the amazing person that she is and helping a girls dream come true!
Jacket - Topshop - £60
Trainers - Adidas - Sold Out
Keep a look out for my second Ivy Park post coming soon!
All my love
P xx
