Retro Chique

04/05/2015

So yesterday Dom took me to Thieving Harry's, the cutest cafe/bar I had seen! I'm completely in love with the vintage themed decor and kinda wanted to live there! It is literally the best place, in terms of look and style, that I had been to in Hull for a long time! So we was on Humber Street because Breeze were playing a charity event - and we wondered down to find a nice place to do a very overdue blog post! Before we made it anywhere we stopped off in Thieving Harrys for a drink - it then rained.. a lot

So here we have my first indoor shoot!
And it was so good! I am hoping I have the opportunity to  go back again and take a more planned/thought-out shoot
(If they would let me..)

We'll start with the outfit details!
This Miss Selfridge blouse is probably one of my favourite pieces, its simplistic yet elegant and I just love the lace stealing on the shoulder, similar blouses are available on the high street!

I purchased this skirt on Friday
(thanks to the nice lady who returned it to Outfit - I love you!) at first I wasn't sure if it looked like curtains.. but after much deliberation, I decided I don't care if it looks like curtains, its very 'me' I like it - a lot!

Since buying this bag from work a couple of weeks ago it has barely left my side, it's so pretty and the best colour (Simply because it perfectly matches that Zara jacket I have!!) And its only £18 in the sale!! Bargain

I swear I have bought new shoes, these are always just the most comfortable option.. so if you're are fed up of seeing them I apologise, but I don't have endless styles of black boots - sorry

I also bought the waist coat on Friday - generally I wouldn't really go for anything like this but when I saw it (and the white one which I also bought..) in my size and there was only one of my size in each of the colours, I knew I would simply regret it if I didn't buy them. I'm definitely going to wear them throughout the summer and use them on holiday! The crochet pattern and fringing just make it look so cute and at £12 from Primark it was a case of grabbing it before it was gone!

For a second there I think I thought I was Cara Delevingne with them mega posey poses... Unfortunately the ones below are probably worse.. I'm still waiting for Miss Victoria Secret or Mr Dior to snap me up but I don't think it's going to happen...

So I found this little spot in the cafe with these amazing mustard leather arm chairs and because Dom is a visual genius at times he managed to snap some fab pictures of me been mega posey! Kate Moss eat your heart out -
I'm coming for you!

Vintage looking chair, tv, and can of cider - do I pass in the quirky blogger industry yet?

I can not wait to return here soon! It's simply the best and if you ever find yourself this side of the world one day be sure to check it out!

I have 2 essays left to finish before the end of this semester so as soon as they are done you will be sick of seeing my face - I promise!

All my love
P xx
